Scars of lasting memories

Emma with her town boyfriend, Andrew, once planned a trip on Christmas to the big ceremony of Christmas in the town.

They took their car and started the journey with zeal and joey. Their Rom-Com story on road to Christmas lasting memories marked the scars of lasting memories. Unfortunately their car crashed into a forest tree on the road side while driving hustle. When Emma opened her eyes, she was on the white bed of the town hospital and couldn’t remember anything after the long three months of sleep on the hospital bed.

She hesitantly raised her hands and grabs the nurse near her bed, nurse immediately called the doctor of the town hospital. Her boyfriend having cold coffee in his hands after long terrified nights with girlfriend, suddenly run towards her room and found that Emma woke up, Emma strangely with unfamiliar voice asked; who are you?

Andrew Emma’s boyfriend was surprised by Emma’s questioning, Andrew hesitantly with flat face asked the doctor to check her yet she couldn’t remember anything.

Doctor told Andrew that she had a severe injury due to which she is experiencing some traumas; we need to give her time for healing. Let’s check her after three days.                            

Andrew agreed and both the doctor and her boyfriend left her in the solitariness of the lasting memories, only nurse accompanied her.

She suddenly asked the nurse; where am I?

Nurse frankly replies, where you should be?

Emma in a serious tone replied that at least not somewhere around people like you.

Emma without her memory was incomplete; her way of interacting, meeting, connecting with people around her was completely strange. Her personality wasn’t ready to accept the change yet the mind already accepted her lost memories. Nurse around her, observed that she is completely lost in another dimension after the serious injury in the accident. Due to both short and long term memory loss she couldn’t remember her identity, the relationships, and her culture heritage. Nurse asked Emma, Do you remember the Christmas night?

Emma with dumb vocals replied, what is Christmas?

Nurse was surprised by her reaction and noted down her each reaction to the questions, one by one.

Finally the doctor with the therapist and Andrew reached to her room the next morning. The doctor asked the nurse for the report, when both the doctor and therapist read the report they were surprised the way nurse was surprised by Emma’s reaction.

Doctor and the therapist discussed her case in the room and call Andrew to their examination room to set their and discuss Emma’s problem. The doctor told Andrew, Emma’s Boyfriend, that Emma would not be able to retrieve her memories back. She might be a completely new baby to this world you and us, for everyone. We are sorry for your loss, but we would suggest you to let her real with time.

Andrew didn’t lose hope and challenged both doctors that she will be back in days and I will make it happen.

The doctors encouraged him, well, if it is possible we would be happy for both of you, best wishes for both of you.

Andrew asked the doctors to discharge them; the administration discharged them after their dues.

Andrew continuously talked to Emma but she wasn’t responding in the way Andrew expected, Andrew asked Emma, do you remember this car? Emma answered, why would I remember this when I don’t know.

Andrew asked Emma then why you are here with me? Emma answered, I don’t Know? I think you are the hospital’s charge man or something like that, Emma continued, I want to go home.

Andrew asked Emma, where is your home?

Emma was confused by her episodic memories as the doctor told Andrew, she would experience multiple episodic memories, as she couldn’t remember anything.

Andrew asked Emma, if she wants to go beach by the back of the town. Emma agreed and Andrew took her to the beach he promised.

Emma set by the side view of beach, looking towards the blazing sun, warm water and cold air with crowd of birds flying by her view. She started singing, nodding her head with her sweet voice after the tragic vocals in the hospital. Andrew asked Emma, Do you love singing by beach side? Emma answered that I don’t know but it seems interesting and loving when I sing in the front of this view.

Andrew mentioned that once they were here with same view but I was your boyfriend since then, now I don’t know, what  am I yours?

Andrew understand her way of recognition but when he mentioned this, she experienced a headache in her head, the doctor prescribed some painkillers but she was completely denying to take the painkillers.

Andrew offered a coffee, late flavor, she loved, and Emma asked how you know that I like this, Andrew then told her the complete story of their love, started from a coffee shop. With this her short term and sematic memory retrieved gradually.

After the beach visit, with the unpleasant and monsoon weather, Andrew took Emma to the forest house, where they left their lasting memories.
